SHOW OF INTEREST FOR MIWORTH TEENAGERS TO DO ODD JOBS

Background: The MCA has occasional opportunities for young people in the community to do odd maintenance jobs. For example, snow shoveling and field/rink maintenance. We pay minimum hourly wage for this work, which may be physically demanding.

Note: The MCA does not pay teens who volunteer for social and recreational events like the fall fair, craft fair, sports events, brunches, etc. However, the MCA will provide a letter outlining volunteer hours for those who need one for course credit, bursaries, job reference, etc.

The MCA will maintain a list of eligible teens and contact them when work opportunities come up. Priority will be given as follows:

  1. Parents are paid-up members of the MCA.

  2. Teen has volunteered for events or helped out in the past.

  3. Teen is age 15 to 18 (still in high school) and has a parent’s permission.

  4. Teen is available at the time required.
